My Orchids........

These orchids have come
from my Grandmother
and have been split up and given to my sister and me.

My sisters' have no luck getting
theirs to flower but
mine flower every year
without fail.

I do nothing to them just leave them
to do their own thing and
this is what they reward
me with.
They do need splitting up again
as they have split their pots so will
have a few of each to flower next year.

I don't know the names of them but will have to find
out one day :0)

This weekend is a long weekend here
and I am looking forward to it.
we have a wedding to go to
tomorrow and was hoping for the weather
to be nice but at the moment it is blowing
a gale and rainy.
It is not looking good weather wise
but it will still be a good day.

Have a great weekend!

I used to work in these huge glasshouses that grew orchids (cymbidiums) for export, I have no idea what any of their names are now. I was also looking to see if I could find their site but I can't :(

Hello Debbie :)

Your orchids look beautiful. I never had success with growing these but plenty of people in the garden club do and have a lovely display down the main street every year.

Things have to be tough for me to grow them lol!

Enjoy the wedding...

Hey Deb, I have had no luck with them in Brissy although in Melb they grew great. Yours are magnificent!

Hi Deb! Your flowers are just beautiful! I hear Orchids are hard to grow. I have no idea - Most are grown inside or greenhouses so I hear. You must have a green thumb or the right humidity or something. Lucky you!! Have a fun wedding! We're going to the grandgirls Soccer games...debbie

A guy at our dealership grows orchids - they are like his children - he is so proud of them... and they are exquisite. I like them because they last so long. Very nice, yours.

I love orchids, but they are so expensive here.
